Hopeless, helpless hospital days

trouble
fling me into the sky on those
long horns
for i am confined to the interior of
a cardiac unit
not patient
but support
not so supportive as
antsy apprehensive overwrought
deep down scared
WE were supposed to be in Florida where it is 80 degrees
instead i sit in a fabric rocking chair as outside
it begins to snow
squeak
squeak
squeak

Nice Poem :) Hope you are ok.
I loved this poem.
“frozen seagulls hung from
Houston to Boston to Denver…
“promises of an
asparagus spring…”
Superb.
But the “buckets of lavender in full sun…” brought that smile of the promise of a warm spring and summer just around the corner. Time to shake off my too-busy winter life of too-many details and doldrums and enjoy the new season. I hope your Nana is much better; these words bring warm wishes, positive energies and joys your way. Hugs.
Oh, I need some more! Please continue on after the 'squeak, squeak, squeak'! There has got to be more intriguing information....like, did you ever get to FL? :-)
MIL - Mother in law. I hope you enjoyed your visit. I thought I saw you waving!!:)
I had the same experience with my FIL. Nothing could be said to make it better. Just hope things work out in the end....
GREAT poem! Voted-UP! How have you been? I pray you have been doing fine....
Wow, sincinctly and profoundly said! You took me right there with you. I've usually been in the hospital bed but I've also been the one sitting next to a friend in a coma and one just coming out of one. What a helpless feeling!
Deep, deep hub!
I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. I've been waiting to wave to your plane, maybe one day soon. Sending your MIL well wishes. Send you positive thoughts!:)
There are some trips my dear Storyteller... Hang in there girl, knowing that you have done good, and not only good, but to your very best... and not only to your very best, but out of true love.
Hugs... Peace...
It is a hard road caring for the elderly, but there are rewards in the end.
Excellent poem and I am glad to know this from you. Thanks for writing and rated up!
When it starts snowing, I want to be in the warm southern regions!
It is such caregivers like Storyteller that are the truest angels , You do know that right? Take a momment for you once in awhile..... my good friend......:-}
Haha, what a long memory you have!!! I can barely summon up the prose...poetry is a very long way off. :)
Hang in there!
nothing that comes from a can!
Perfect description of such a difficult time. Hope and pray all is well.

My mother in law was in the hospital bed. She went on oxygen and now she is living at sea level.
